Update

You might have noticed that the update button was grayed out next to the import button while importing an Object and Construction System. Two factors make the update button functional;

The first one is that an element must first be imported into your project file, and the second factor is that your BIM Manager must have changed data that has been entered into the cockpit.

To show you how the update functions, I'm going to modify an attribute that is a part of a material. I will first import the material into my Revit project file. As you can see, contact name, contact phone, and contact email are the three properties that are related to this material. Press the import button. Now go to the material property tab when the import is finished to ensure that the attributes was applied correctly. I'm going to the cockpit now to modify the contact name and email values. After completing this step, return to the plugin and reload the browser page. As I'm still looking over into the folder structure, you'll see that a blue indication icon now appears on the material component. This indication lets you know when a certain element has something updated for you. Open the element's details page and check to see if the Update button is now active and available for use. Press the button, then wait a moment. A success message will appear after the updating function is complete. You may now verify that the properties have been updated correctly.
