Items in Use
The Items in Use functionality was developed to meet the need of architects and planners to be able to track which project file elements have been used in the design and how to modify them according to the Circularity Lifecycle needs.
The feature was created with the help of our EPEA partners and is considered to be of great use to building physicists when they collaborate with architects and planners.
To show you how this function operates, I will first import a floor and a wall with attached circularity data. I'll then use the imported wall to draw a simple rectangle. Next, I'll cover the constructed area with a floor. After this step is complete and you click on the Items in Use page, our system will now display a list of construction systems with a summary of their layers. When you expand the system you will see a picture, a name, a classification, and circularity data, which show how well your construction system's materials behave. You will also find a Replace With button under every material within your construction system. When you click that button, a pop-up with suggestions based on a material classification will appear. After that, you may go over the proposed items to identify which one is better to the one you are currently using. Simply click on the desired element, and our system will switch the material. You can now go and verify if the material has been applied to your system within the Revit project file. This process is essential and works hand in hand with our next plugin feature, called Project Evaluation.
Important! If the Construction System is not built using our Cockpit, you can notice that the Replace With capability is disabled. Currently we only display construction systems in the Items in Use section, but soon we are planning to include Objects too.
